Fee Appeal

FEE APPEAL

Ryerson has a fee appeal process. Review the fee appeal policy and form here.

Note that you must explain and substantiate how you qualify for at least one of the following grounds of appeal: Medical, Compassionate, or Procedural.

Fee appeals are not usually considered after 6 months since the fees in question were posted to your account.

RETROACTIVE OR LATE COURSE DROP

If you have been affected by difficult or unforeseen personal circumstances (i.e. medical or compassionate ground) you can submit a request for a retroactive course removal or late course drop. If the final date to withdraw from courses has passed and the semester is still in process, a late course drop may be appropriate for you. If the semester has already concluded and you were unable to complete course requirements or suffered a significant extenuating circumstance, the retroactive course removal would probably be right for you.

To request this option students must, first consult with the Chair/Director of your program, or an academic advisor. Keep in mind that this request requires a written letter and supporting documentation. Review the process to request a late course drop or retroactive course removal and the request form here.
