Opt-out for a Refund
Health & Dental Plan Fees
Part-time undergraduate degree students beginning classes for the first time this academic year, either in the Fall or the Winter semesters, are charged for the TMAPS Health & Dental Plan. This annual charge is reflected on your tuition and ancillary fee statement for health and dental benefits, and is a separate charge from the TMAPS membership fee. Those assessed this fee may be eligible to opt-out of the TMAPS Health & Dental Plan coverage.
Opt-Out Dates
For students starting studies in September (12-month coverage period), you will have the opportunity to opt-out of the TMAPS Health & Dental Plan:
· Fall 2025: Monday, September 1st at 11:00AM – Friday, October 3rd at 5:00PM
*There are no exceptions to this deadline.
For students starting studies in January (8-month coverage period), you will have the opportunity to opt-out of the TMAPS Health & Dental Plan:
- Winter 2026: Thursday, January 1st at 11:00am – Friday, February 6th at 5:00PM
*There are no exceptions to this deadline.
REMINDER: In order to be eligible to opt-out, you must provide proof of your alternate coverage information, or your opt–out will be incomplete and you will not receive a refund.
Important to Note:
- It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they submit their opt-out before the deadline posted on the website.
- After successfully opting out you will receive a confirmation email. Save this email as it is proof of your opt out submission.
- Students who are approved to opt out will have their MyStudentHub accounts credited for the full amount of the plan.

We are pleased to announce that as of September 2025, TMAPS has partnered with Gallivan as our new Health and Dental Plan Broker. As before, GreenShield will remain our health and dental insurance provider.
